BWG, SWG and millimetre specifications do not line up with each other. A number quoted without naming the system can be accepted by both sides and still produce a wire the buyer cannot use.
State the system and the diameter together, and ask the quotation to repeat both. If the wire feeds a machine set for a fixed diameter, give the millimetre figure as the controlling one.
Then agree the roll weight and the packing, because wire is often sold by weight but consumed by length. A heavier roll of the same gauge contains less length, which changes how far the order actually goes.
